The web shatters again

The object of his most shameful desires...
His greatest affection...
His undying loyalty--is descending.

And he's racing...

To reach her before the gray turns to black.
Forgetting the urges, the wants he harbors...
Save the soul...the love...the friend.

--Time is running out.

And he casts aside all his demons
In a fit of desperation...
...to catch her with everything good in him.

And she scolds him for wearing himself down this way...
But saving her from falling, one more time...

Is sometimes all that reminds him who he can be...

...and what he can overcome in himself.
