Mimicing a Deathwatch
By lupus tenebrae
I feel your breathing, vanish here,
in
jilting all we could have had,
our eyes, in truth, could meet
as one,
and miss each other, just as bad.
Exchanging
lyrics, in our sleep,
exhaling rhythm, to a fault.
These
perfect words, seem just enough,
and taken with a grain of salt.
A deathwatch mimics every beat,
at least it tries to keep
its pace
and somewhere in translating mine,
it fumbled in
regaining place.
We’re side by side and hand in hand,
in copasetic lingering.
These moments never live eternal;
phantoms, in their fingering.

I hate to be fingered by those moments, but sometimes they just won't let one be - Cheers Wolfie!
