Tears in the river

By MikeShank1989

There's a fear among friends
It's rarely mentioned
Appearing in every tear
Revered by reflection
The rebels of my era erase ignorance
Lusting after lethargy, complacence leaves faces winced
We make it a point to be on point, no hypo
Burning fact into fiction, so lipo
My fellow freaks spit fire, so sideshow
A learning tactician on the track, go maestro
Mass marketing Monsanto might make Mike go psycho
Applied insecticide to our side, now their eyes glow
Gaining profits, playing prophets, I see through their lies though
Organic is titanic if your pockets light bro
Doe-eyed, budding, broken, baseless
Fluoride flooding freckled faces
Penning propositions promoting pollution
In place of a painless smoking solution
Bubbling bacteria into bath water
Troubling diphtheria shot through your daughter
Soil saturated, disgruntled discord
An oil slick, fudge thick, funneled through fjords
Exploiting the home team as our feet hit desert sand
Spinning stories simply, making children understand
Preying on poverty, making a nation a novelty
Drawing sweat from shrapnel to equalize economy
Cajoling children, controlling villains testing tainted shores
Bartering saccharin for accurate locations of corps
Playing tag at gunpoint to have minefields explored
Pupils praying for vacation when their vocation is war
A cherub's corpse in a lair of remorse, such a load to carry
Packing boxes of pine in uniform lines to be buried
Damning stars and stripes for broken lives used to increase monetary
We just wanted a deal on unleaded, exploiting the Achilles heel was ancillary
