“Painful Memories”

The burn he left in my flesh.
It burns from time to time.
As if it just happened yesterday.
It has been months now sense it happened.
And I have tried hard to remove it.
But it still seems to burn
And when it burns I remember…

I prayed when I was with you.
Prayed to god to take me away.
That is a feat for someone who never
Believed in god.
I prayed he would give me strength
