By NikesRain

there's a catch

always

in my breath

you in my desire

a subtle gasp

as your hand tightens

around my wrist

eye to eye

locked and loaded

that storm

rolling beneath

the surface

undulating within your blood

i hear it

stay

speaking in tongues

beneath my skin

coaxing my own

to flow writhing

searing a path

along every nerve

let me go

before i expire

such intensity

there is no denying

i would drown

within the tempest

of you

willingly

i feel it

stay

so i do

Wow, the intensity of your words, it's only at the end you realize that you're so drawn in that you're holding your breath. "To flow writhering searing a path along every nerve", nice images to think about.

"Stay" (just a little bit longer) a golden oldie, circa 1960'ish. Wonderfully wrought, the battle of need perhaps, between the rational and the ravenous, cheers!

...I see passion & tempers raging in this. the battles that all couples engage in. maybe you should go, but you don't quite know. but the fighting might stop 1 day...so you stay...

A very profound passion soaring out of control and then letting go to embrace it makes for a truly amazing feeling while reading. This truly reaches out beyond the text.
