A love story
By cadymae
Love is a story you tell yourself
To make the rough edges
smoother
To make yourself more resilient
To make the longing
seem worthier
But finally the story does not matter
Since
dust to dust we all return
Neither wiser nor sadder.

...love has many perceptions: bitter & sweet, true & deceptive, spiritual & lustful. & of course in the end nothing matters, but they certainly make life & poetry much more interesting...

love, marriage, children - used to be the normal progression. Nevertheless, one label may be as good as another in the final analysis, well-said.
