SACRIFICE
By Slingnasty
Cold and damp
fog of Dusk
Rolling a waning
flirtatious
scent of honeyed Musk
Air enough the world
dances
to
the rhythm of the Sway
A single lonely figure
slumped
Desperately refuses the gale at Play
A figure alive nor Dead
quietly self forsaken
Aware
of what surrounds outside
Internal beacon- - - off - - - long-
- - forgotten . . . . . . .
Snapshot images
Before the light it turned away
still seamed with a thread of life
comfortably snuggling so warm within
this Decay
Always knowing tangible freedom
abroad
does Abound
So humbly loyal
To the Sinkhole
It what Built and Found
This figure silently Acknowledging the beauty
and frolic it will never have
Silently.
. . . . . Smiles. . . . . . Thinking . . .
This is the SACRIFICE
