the truth doesn't care

By eidos

When you told me that she tasted like fresh cut grass
I thought you had your words mixed up.
The nonchalant way you made mention of her lips
as if they were nothing more than a passerby
that nodded in your direction
as if you hadn't broken bread with the devil
already.

"When you told me that she tasted like fresh cut grass I thought you had your words mixed up..." This was an outstanding piece, with so many images and experiences tapped into in so few words. Poetry indeed! Ciao, T/S Scholar

The title didn't lie, that is for sure.It is a good stab in the eyes, this piece, without a doubt. Can't be more direct than that.
