Lying Steel Guitar

By lupus tenebrae

Play me off on steel guitar
coolness in a centigrade,
sly and sleek as a lying tongue

Stood at the edge of Eden,
wanting one last jamboree,
play me off on steel guitar.

Fahrenheit descending
in a glass of crisp nostalgia,
coolness in a centigrade.

Fiddle bows are slick and sheen
when fraying through their love songs,
sly and sleek as a lying tongue.

Last stanza was my fav, "while my guitar gently weeps (unk)". Cheers, no frets!
