Compulsory Confinement

By Melancholic VIncent

A figure approaches
Resembling an inmate doing hard time
Casting a penetrating glance
Could feel it piercing into my skull
Her eyes were as mad as her mind

A scientist she was
She took several degrees
On some random subjects
Her laboratory is somewhere in America
No sons or daughters

This is her masquerade life
The one she chooses to have
Instead the loss of a son
Rape when she was a kid
And the impenetrable walls holding her inside
Court established she is a danger to herself
When she flew out the window
Compulsory confinement for unlimited time
Framed by psychotic schizophrenia
She carries her life-sentence
Away from the sons she claims now she doesn't have

Maybe for me, but some sentences are for life.
