Khora Rising: Lorelei

Khora Rising: Lorelei

...Lorelei...

...hollow woman cupping fluidity,
chilled spring.soaked face and bare.foot.
Midpool pedestal, lingering;
promontory, slick and solar shining...

Jagged ore. Right angles and blocks of hematite.
Chaotic water, slowly eroding... molecule shining clear,
wearing away protective edges.
(mourn the loss)

Graceful, sensuous organic anatomy:
:fingertips and palms and wrists:
a smoothness that arises from living tragedy.

Lives call fantasies and phantasms to the blurred distances:
Crow,
down-winging pearlescent vortex
...hunting wilder roads.
Droplets gazing,
lion's mane. Unsettling,
Beauty,
has teeth. May no one forget

an Eve, closed-eye
Tilting her head back for
...something...
What?
We do not know.
We cannot know.
(What a woman seeks to find in solace is a private ritual.)

There is a sanguine song, sirenesque
calling her to this seer's pool;
echoes of an under.earth river,
a rhythm.less muse-ic.

Leaving the space behind her eyes, she
enters a place that is not a place,
a time that is not time.

Tonal depths shift and undulate in kaleidoscopic grace.
The absence that allows for becoming, she is

The shock of the real.
Internal stillness.
Vorpal tongued and feral:
Khora,
my vessel of artistry.

If I were a siren and I heard someone speaking this, I would sell my tail to go hear more. It's like I'm hearing this from deep waters.
