Nature in Precession

By lupus tenebrae

The water, since coming to rest,
seems taken
with mournful stances.

Its channels, bent
in solemn prayers,
and chance forgiveness,
rippling farewell odes.

A eulogy, can perhaps
be translated
by sleight of hand,
and introspection.

An escadrille of leaves,
only slightly stirs
in the wind’s precession.

It’s unanimous, after all,
the granite says enough,
its stoicism, louder
than any one angel’s cries.

June 14 was the anniversary of the Wegee Creek Flood, I thought it only natural to pay my respects. Even a paltry offering such as this.

The power of water is definitely a formidable force of Nature, and it writes its passage in stone, leaving flakes and pebbles in its memory, cheers!

mmmm.... I love these type of writes from you; they seem to speak through Nature, not of it. Brilliantly heartfelt words here....I love it. ~b
