" Honey Glide " with Labella Blue

By Sean Mc Shane

Beautiful sunshine, summertime Sunday
up the winding hilltop road, the car made it's way
stopping by a stone foundation, of an old house long gone
looking over the surrounding countryside, by a serene pond

He gets out, walks around, opens her door, offers his hand
She smiles, turns, steps out and guided up to a stand
face to face, they pause, eyes lock over soft grins
an endless little moment, that blooms as it begins

He gives a playful wink, She returns it with a smile
They gather their basket, their blanket and settle in for awhile
And after a medieval feast of meat, bread, fruit and wine
They laughed and played, slipping into Their time to shine . . .

                    . . . mmmmmmmmmmm . . .

. . .  wrapped in one another's arms, gazing into each other's eyes
still feeling the vibrant echoes and the soft warmth of passionate sighs
He slowly sits up, from the basket he retrieves a notebook and pen
She does the same, anxious to play their Lover's game again

He playfully keeps the book from her, as He begins to write
His smile fades into deep thought, as words come out so bright

                    - I found you in my heart, last night
in a painted portrait, midnight blue
all the wonder of what is
makes me feel every loving part of you
You send me, deep down, gently
                      into your glowing heart
                      I can't always see you
But I know we're never apart
For I take you with me, my Love
                      whenever I must go
and I always feel you in my Soul
singing songs to the stars below  -

He hands Her the book and pen, She reads thru a loving gaze
After, She gives him a lil peck, then writes words that will amaze

                   -  You have peppered moments
                      of sunshine
on this scarred and broken shell
                      Tenderly molding
                       littered pieces
of a shattered heart that fell
                       Softly, slowly
                       you've found your way
                       inside
                       Our libertine passion assaults me
                       let my Honey Glide  -

His flattered grin grows, he reads on, then gives her a kiss
right back to pen on paper, not wanting to lose the wave of bliss

                    -  How gentle your Love is
                       floating on a butterfly's breeze
blow away the dust of sorrow
old pain fades with such ease
I love to walk with You
into Our realm of wonderful words
where Our wishes playfully circle Our ideas
as if they were colorful song birds
and all this bliss has come from you
in a world so unsure of true love
You remind the lost, they've only forgotten
what they should be thinking of
You opened my door and showed me
a way out of that dead end view
into the freedom of Our Love, forever
                       and forever . . . I will love you  -

She reads, They smile, She takes the book back, for a little while

                    -  My fickle heart summersaults
as I imagine you in my folds
                       How quickly you've
                       dismantled me
                       unknown future
                       we behold
                       Surrendering myself to you
                       I am chaffed raw
                       by your heavenly rapture
my love  my being  my everything
                       you have
                       completely captured  -

They share a long deep look, as the notebook is put away
once is never enough on a day as beautiful as today
So Their passion takes them quick, waves of ecstasy open wide
making love into words . . .  as They did with " Honey Glide "
