Golden Sickle, on the Mend

By lupus tenebrae

Golden sickle, be a friend,
dim the prairie lights again,
then maybe, I’ll be on the mend.

Embers snap a fond amen
or feint goodbyes beneath the stars,
dim the prairie lights again,

Never quite at odds, on par
with their every fine farewell
or feint goodbyes beneath the stars.

Rivers end, it’s hard to tell
the way they curve, or ebb and flow
with their every fine farewell.

Something more to learn, you know?
the way that hearts can skip a beat,
the way they curve, or ebb and flow.

Inspiration’s just…discreet,
golden sickle, be a friend,
the way that hearts can skip a beat,
then maybe I’ll be on the mend.

Golden Sickle seems to be a symbol on the communist flag of Russia No? (HA)! Seriously, this brought back memories of me growing up in America's bread basket, not too far from those amber waves of grain. Interesting format as always Wolfie, thanks.
