Light Rain Observations

By Blood Saga

I hear the Goddess in the rain,
falling lightly against pavement.

Then the engine of a city bus roars,
brakes squeaking as it drives away,
and a car horn blares in frustration.

This woman walks by,
her sandals flapping on the wet sidewalk.

It's a warm night, humid
but the air is cool and moving,
so she will not take the bus home.

The rain stops.
Maybe she took it with her.

I am alone in a city where no one hears anything.
