Flotsam

By cadymae

Bottled-up innocence
floating at sea

Attracts visitors
who gaze within

Fins nor whiskers
can touch it

nor paws
nor hairy arms

It bobs onward
towards shores

unknown but
hoped for

longed for
faintly calling for

lit moon-path
leads true

drift inside
its outlines

within currents
drawing you home

towards lands of
sweet calmness

...this is very attractive & gentle, causes me to drift along with the poem, like Huck Finn on a raft...
