Apathy

By SolApathy

...Apathy
There is nothing left here
not even the darkness I once feared
an opaque existence where silence is still
the sun brings no warmth
I'm Cold
Broken
torn
I would live if only to feel pain
nothingness driving me insane
do you see the perfect sky?
Touch me
Tell me why
Let me stand beside
See through your eyes
Let me feel the damp cold acid rain
Let me feel the scorching heat of a deserts pain
No shoes I feel well
Burning my feet
Hotter than hell
Sterilize my soul
Sprinkle me with shame
Drill holes in my back
Give me angels’ wings
Drill holes in my head
Attach a crooked halo
Let me sing
Drop me from a cloudless sky
Just for a moment I can fly
Before I slam into reality
Kill me now
I am
Apathy

Death... It must. Kill. A dead body; killed by the void. Dark shards of remnant fractures, revealed in life, for me to read. Thanks for sharing :-)

I only hope my self-depreciated works can stir up the spiritual energy in people the way your poems do in me. Excellent.

Loved the hole drilling, tremendous imagery, until you hit the ground, thanks for bringing an uncommon smile.
