Fair Maiden, Unrelenting

By lupus tenebrae

The maiden unrelenting,
in snaggletooth descent
with nails of con-
descension
and lips of cold
lament.

Her spikes are driven inward
and I feel such a pang
for jaw’s ajar
and gaping,
I’m punished for
my slang.
