Whiteness

By lupus tenebrae

Somewhere, eyes of illness
are as listless as the ether,
are as taken with the sadness
and the mindless form of anger.

Dizzy eyes of numbness,
of the endless days of fever,
pitching curveballs to the coldness
and the wetness of the water.

Crimson veins of redness,
of the sleepless ever after
are as evident in whiteness
with their brightness long hereafter.
