" Moonshine "

By Sean Mc Shane

The Moon was a burnished gold, higher and higher shaded white
gently settling over Us, as a shooting star enlightened Our night
We sat on the hood, still warm from when going full throttle
looking over the River Meadows, kissing the whiskey bottle
with the windows rolled down, the music filled the silence so fine
listening to the Hillbilly Moon Explosion, their sweet song 'Moonshine'
Stealing glances and grins, we were wrapped in the melody
I subtly slid off the hood, taking Her hand,  inviting Her to join me
We stood in the headlight glow, in a casual swaying embrace
I treasured the fragrance of Her hair, the warmth of Her blushing face
She laid Her head on my shoulder,  blissful feelings assemble
my timid squeeze then tightened, in an old schoolboy tremble
She's just so lovely, serene, Her magic is Arthurian Romance
She stepped back smiling, raised my hand to a twirling dance
Twice around into a ballerina pose, catching Her in a graceful fall
With a quick tilting scoop, I craddled Her and stood so Tall
She let out a sweet little laugh, then whispered on a breeze
hit with an overwhelming sensation, I almost went to my knees
I kissed Her smooth babyface cheek thru my own blushing grin
Our eyes came together, in a simple surging wishful sin
Savorying the last of this secret time, we sat back down
finger caress while holding hands, as stardust floated around . . .

No matter if it be day or night . . .  this is just another dream
a very special one, We keep in Our own flowing vision stream
and as Our light shines brighter, Our secret world begins to fade
we give Ourselves one last smile, as white silk covers what we made
But before the light blinds us, Our echoing voices come to blend
telling our sad hearts thru time and space . . . a simple . . . til then -

This was incrementally incredible to all but the most hardened of hearts. Superbly sophisticated and may seraphs sing serenades of serene psalms. Cheers!
