Fecundity

By cadymae

The unfolding fecundity of spiders bursting from egg sac,

Ants boiling out of a corpse,

Ice crystals fractal-ing across windowpane.

Any dormancy come to life

startles me from my reverie on my individuality,

since it reminds my oneness it is part of a many.

My uniqueness will be chewed on, unthoughtfully, by maggots one day.

At this rate, I'm going to run out of superlatives and ways to comment on your works and end up repeating myself. The clarity with which you present the truth is what marks you out, I think.

Nobody escapes the final ending, or is it really the end? And are we actually that individual, or just perhaps imagined so? Does the butterfly know the caterpillar? Cheers CM, much enjoyed the natural equivalence.
