Generation RX
By GraveFlower
I remember the mornings
id wake up in my room
the first thing I'd grab
is my bag and
my spoon
mix it
pull it
first blast of the day
a throat filled with vapors
as my mind floats away
i enjoy life as it comes
any moments could be my last
so id
stay high at all times
because time flies so fast
before
my bag was empty
id be on my next score
keeping in supply
sure to not beg for more
then came the scavengers
the
bills
and the heat
before i could realize
i lived on the
streets
prowling the night
searching dumpsters and cars
begging passers by for change
and bumming smokes outside bars
though i didnt quit the drug
the drug quit me
dealers
only accept so many stolen electronics
the moment i realized
i was begging for my high
is the moment i grew up and said my good
bye

Very uplifting; conquering your demons can be a brutal battle. Also, stolen electronics can be a heavy load to carry whilst your running away from the Cops.
