Because of You

By Alchemist

The day you were born it was like the flowers and the ivy grew
Your eyes are, so I didn't have to name you blue
The only reason I can imagine heaven now is because of you

The day you were born it was like the planet and the sun moved
On this journey of life you are my courage and my clue
I strive through bad moods when thunder booms because of you

The day you were born was an equation of the stars and the moon
In your mother, her mother and my mother's view
Three women I love even more now because of you

The day you were born I learned how the winds of love blew
And swept the seeds of anticipation from a lustful two
At that moment we were made anew because of you

The day you were born I felt the rapids of hope wash over me
And everytime I hold you close I feel like I can part the seas
And when you laugh I feel a joyful cleansing breeze
Because of you I know what shedding a tear for love means

The day you were born my heart was locked and you were my key
Your mommy was the grooves holding you close to me
Because of you I have a reason to smile during days of grey
Thinking of the wonder women you will blossom to be

Tremendous job on this Shawn and hope you intend to frame this, and put away for her when she grows up to cherish. Thanks.
