Resolve

By Polaris

Waking dreams of burning trees
Visions of the fall foreseen
To my feet stained and bleeched
Encased in ashes my own greed

The sweet bitter smell of gasoline
The counsel held I did not heed
The time is now for me to leave
Regret and purpose words to keep

And this was your first poem ever written? I bow to you sir. This was a magnificent piece. Chaotic, yet a sense of some order. Puts the readers mind right there, in the heart of the poem itself. I am humbled and awed by this piece. *bows*

Thanks. I'm a little less self conscious now, but I guess every first time writer is.
