yeah, i got your note

By FadedBlues

yeah, i got your note, thanks
who am i talking to...you're gone...long gone...
but, hell, i don't blame you for wanting to run away
from this crummy apartment on the corner of
Ramshackle st. & SucksBigTime blvd.  .....

-~-~-~-~-   if i took all the good pieces of my past,
stitched them together, i wouldn't have a rag big
enough to blow my nose with   -~-~-~-~-

couple drinks'll put me to sleep tonight...
hey, that heart you took with you, just
drop it in the nearest garbage can...

yeah, i got your note,
i nailed it to the cracking wall
so i could blow my brains out with it
every day

I think I need a couple of drinks after that, heat clincher... :)~

  • A former member wrote: Wow. The seeming careless acknowledgment, accepting the heartache, and the ending was just so raw.

No one can escape heart ache or heartbreak, but few more can write a poem about it as nicely as you did. The "stitched rag" image was just absolutely amazing. Thank you for posting this wonderful piece.

...you know, with true friends, one 'Thank You' isn't enough...when the night sky puts on stars (something I borrowed from Cummings) those words are carved into every one...

I'm bookmarking this so I can refer all the wet and moisties to the proper way to express heartbreak and loss, thanks!
