8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1: Birthing a thought

A trembling. Almost ruptured,

The skin of the word droplet

Waits for the tears to flow.

A birthing.

Skinless.

Great wordplay to a countdown syllable count. I'm going to be controversial and argue that the first line is 7 syllables rather than 8 :)
