Lies

By Lylani

I'm sorry to say
you don't lie so well
But that is a secret I'll never tell
Its the blood
It's the chill
of feeling alive and wanting to die
Heart beating faster
Silencing thought
Of passion made carnal
Lust turned to sport
Deceit on your tongue
Window pane glass
Your thoughts are transparent
I'm wearing the mask

I'll say all is well
And tare at my flesh
Scream words of silence
You're stealing my breath
There's no-one to comfort
No solace to find
You're greedy and cruel
I'm out of my mind
My torment made secret
Tied up in betrayal
Lies so elaborate
They should never fail

Falling down broken
I'm rising above
Fighting my heart
That's trying to love
Searching for flowers
Finding just thorns
This end was decided
Before I was born

Pre-ordained has really got me thinking on this, something genetic perhaps? This was so sad and hopeless, being lied to because you almost expect it perhaps? Probably guessing badly, thanks, and cheers!

You should live in Ohio, so I could bring you flowers, and take you out for dinner... Again you give perfect discription of emotion in script. ^V^

Heartbreaking and bitter in self awareness and reflection. I love your description and the structure works beautifully. Thank you for posting!
