. . . misanthropy murdered forever . . .

By NikesRain

she was the rain falling supple and snowflakes tapping on your window
the elegance of a thousand ages slipped into a kiss of gentle unconditionality
calling out to you to chase fireflies across summer meadows
without expectations of ultimate success or heralded victory
beseeching you to only take care with her sighing calla lily heart
hidden quietly in the folds of hard to get to dusted feather dreams
ever asking only for the silent sigh of your most tender consideration

spoken silk and beauty created between brushing souls you floated immortal
breaking free beyond the veil of harsh days and demanding conformities
reveling in the silly childishness of giggle shorts and delicate fuzzy wumps
played in sunflower bingo parlors beneath smiling polychrome clouds
until the day you let loose the floodgates of a monster not of her making
birthed from your cynicism that too much happiness was an impossibility

now you look for cookie crisp smiles in the porridge eyes of fading ballerinas
finding only toucan stubs and dandelion heads in stomp struck desolation
mindless stump thumping from dad's big chest is now your cadance
like a sorry ass rap haphazard and stuttering over a forgotten graveyard
shrouded in mange damaged weasel pelts vomitting your toxic textures
to be collected by diaper clippers with hands stained in walnut hulls

somewhere along the journey you twisted up and corroded
overgrown poison ivy squat-thrusting against the softness willow trees
a weenus hung from dehydrated bones wrapped in snide crushing remarks
but there's no help for it when all you want is your pain painted and drapped
bright like an jagged scar ham-boning across another's softer face
just so you can scoff and gee-whiz bro your fallacious concern

she was your blue fairy of a thousand graces unconditional
something to cherish into the possibility of ever after
yet you killed her with one fell swoop from your insecurity
and you suffer at your own pessimistic hand

You own it, and almost make me ashamed to be a man (but not quite). This was electro-magnetic and the air is still crackling with high voltage static, thanks NR.
