actually i was thinking of seeing the hand palm down with the thumb to the side of the other digits... and nah not mindless trivia at all but that i know of and have experienced... you break the thumb if you curl the digits over it... never broke my thumb yet with it over the others but that's a fist as opposed to 'pointing' and only against a helpless heavy bag
