Living Scar

By AllenTaylor

Blood and sweat paint the ground
Pooling around the toes
Hollow voices billow around
Beads of grief sleep on the nose
Waiting for the final draw
Naked,exposed and marred
Cutting away this lifeless flaw
Dying to become a living scar

Razor Blades and rubber bands
Shattered dreams and empty hands
Cutting deep to feel alive
Crimson warmth on the outside
Razor blades and rubber bands
Riddled wrists from twisted demands
Existing to be cut apart
Dying to become a living Scar

Empty words dance in the brain
Torturous and vague
He views himself as the human stain
The plague to end all plagues
Spilling to the bathroom floor
Praying to reach the stars
Emptied from his inner core
Bleeding to become a living scar

Your sleeves can only cover the surface
Striving and crawling to be perfect
