Reaping Of Your Innocence

By Virgils Vigil

Reaping of your innocence

I must prescribe

To my self, dear malevolence

I run away and hyde

In dark wood I may slumber

This secret, I confide

Yet somewhere near I hunger

That space there deep inside

I hear the insects

How steadily they crawl

I must pay respects

How insidiously small

At dusk dusts doom shall scatter

Disperse down through the halls

Erroneous windows shatter

As the belfries' black bell tolls

Uncertain lust’s infinity

Shall lay down by my side

I close my mind to divinity

In hopes she’ll soon arrive
