The Feather

By darkness falls

Open my eyes, the inner eyes of the seer
And send them out to you
The shape of your face is beautiful
But your eyes, like mine, are guarded
And filled with sorrow unspoken
I feel like a feather in the breeze
With hardly any substance at all
Battered by the forces of other wills
Til I'm left ragged and drooping
Laying on the ground
