do i belong?

Some of you may think I’m completely insane,
Or maybe that I’m a bit, fucked in the brain,
But I make a true claim,
When I tell you I’m sane.
So don’t judge me yet, you only know my name.


I’m a shy person, as I’m sure you’ve learnt,
Because my friends, I always get burnt.


When I found this site, it was so exciting,
That I almost immediately re-started writing.


But I have a slight fear,
Which to some may be clear,
So I ask, “Do I, belong here?”


When I first signed up I thought, “Acceptance at last.”
But for some reason, I still feel like the outcast.


I’d love to get to know you all,
But when I try to talk, I stall.


It is clear to me,
Between us you’ll see,
At least one similarity.


So should I go away?
Or I ask, “Should I stay?”
And write again, another day?
