Ticket To Hell

By maliceman

One day I awoke to Death standing by my bed
He told me that I had nothing to live for, that I'm better off dead
He explained that nobody loves me, nobody cares
He gave me a one-way ticket to Hell, He was gonna take me there
I smiled up at him, as i took his bony hand
The world began to blur as we drifted away like sand
The next thing I knew I was standing near a gate
In lines of thousands who had suffered the same fate
I motioned to a girl, who was standing directly to my left
I asked her what she did to deserve a trip to Hell with Death
She explained that her boyfriend used to beat her within an inch of her life
So she hung herself after repeatedly stabbing him with a knife
Finally i gave my ticket to demon, who in turn stamped my hand
She then told another demon, "This one to the Pit Of The Damned"
He led me to a giant hole, that chilled me to the bone
He said, "Hey, you're lucky, at least you'll never be alone"
He pushed me in and I fell a million feet
The girl I had spoken to almost immediately fell on top of me
In the pit were a million struggling souls who will never be missed
I smile up at the girl, and we begin to kiss
Despite the heat of Hell burning through our bones
At least we would never be alone

Hell of a love story, or a romance made in Hell. Obviously the situation wasn't dire enough to kill the mood, or perhaps intensified it - good job!
