Fall From Grace

By celestine_moon

I can't pretend that this pain isn't killing me
I drop down on my knees and pray to you, save me
You want so badly to lift me to your level
Take me from my muddy bed, clean me, anoint me

But I can’t be your angel when I’m wrapped in guilt
The pristine image you carved out of me will fade
And all that shall remain will be this sin and me
And I am not worthy of the holy water

poignant... piercing... touches the very essence of the want of divinity... lost in the presence and putresence of a world impossible, grace will never descend

I also like it . . . I think this line is incredible: "But I can't be your angel when I'm wrapped in guilt". This expresses alot very concisely . . . great job.
