Rocky Road

Roaming from
Place to place,
Town to town,
House to house,
I’ve realized
Just how far I’ve come.
The people I’ve met
Along the way,
Showed compassion,
In their own individual ways,
As minutes turned to hours
And hours to days,
Looking back on this journey,
I can’t help but be amazed.
I’ve learnt a lot
Throughout the years
For all this time,
Has thawed away my fears
And it’s because of this,
That I shed less tears
Since experience has taught me,
How to avoid life’s many snares.
It’s been a humbling ride thus far
A lot of twists and turns,
All up and down
This rocky road,
Despite not knowing
What the future holds,
I’m anxious to unravel
What later chapters,
Will mold,
So I’m pushing forth,
Let the truth be told,
So when it’s all over
I can watch it all,
Unfold.
