Kill to Look Good

By Alchemist

A warm effervescence roams
And fills the summer showers
But riddles the coast bare from
Gale force and monsoons for hours
Sowers of futures bittersweet glow
Some will get a perpetual energy flow

The direction of todays revelations
Will be traced through the numbing snow
With a blast of heat rocketing out
For a like-clockwork mechanical show
Its a miraculously Darwinian blow
That re-evaluates the stripes in the code

Bombs create an affluence for gloom
Years later theres still soot on the roads
And clouds of stale toxic feral molds
Its a sick sixth sense like mood
Give man the credit he deserves
He knows how to kill to look good

Once i secretly wished the bomb would go off, to return the world to that which it was meant...until i read the book and saw the movie. Nothing was meant that. We are the only living things with the ability to end ourselves, and you're absolutely right...it's all a show. It's unfortunate that Darwinism includes us, but that's just my take. Let's just say...were we removed from the equation i wouldn't mourn the loss of us, and that's not in a negative way though it sounds like it is. We've simply gone too far for our ability to comprehend our power and use it wisely. i'd prefer an epidemic to the bomb. ;) Darwinism also includes extraterrestrial conception. Too bad we don't have our 'ancestors' to observe or to teach us how to get it right. We shall go on.

Shawn, if I understand you correctly, this is about a new planet and the creation of life from the elemental - and then the ending of it, thanks to Man
