God Bless (Shallow) America

By LovelyUndead

We are free

To be chained to this society

A part of the machine

Oiled and well behaved

Preprogrammed beliefs

God will smite you

We are better

Than everyone

We need to improve

Eat more, be more

Thin is the new in

Big lips

Small hips

Fat ass

Willing to do anything

To be on the VIP

Minors in possession

Manslaughter

Corruption

Traffic

Pollution

The most beautiful

Most heavily medicated

Youngest looking

Society

On the face

Of the planet

Just the thought makes me cringe, an entire civilization obsessed with false perfection, perhaps even kill for it. Materialism, narcissism, make way for the future. Write onward. Scholar
