Let Me Out! Help Me!

By: Alexis Manley

help me im stuck in this box
do you see the box rattling around?
can you hear the thumping of my feet?
can you hear me wimpering?

there is no light
there is no sound
only laughing comming from the mouth of someone outside...

can you hear my last breath?
can you hear the things outside these four walls?
I am scared and nobody is here with me
I cant see anymore

I dont know what to do
I feel so trapped

Can you hear me throwing myself up against the walls?
Can you hear my screams to be free?
Can you hear the last few heart beats i have left in me?

I scream once more into the dark void of the box
I am in the fetal position at this point... no one is there
Am I ever getting out?
When can I see the light of day?

I can feel myself dying slowly and slowly
My eyes droop and then I am falling....

Water seeps into the room... or so i think...

I feel the water rising... its warm
I lay there until I am swallowed whole by the water that is now my blood

I run into the sweeping arms of death as my innocence fades

I wake up in darkness drenched with sweat and crusted blood
I fall out of my wrappings and lay on the floor
There is light under the door
I scrample to reach the light but everything is spinning

I reach the light and feel around on the wall of the box
There is a door knob and I reach for it
I open the door and now i am blind for only a few seconds
Someone pulls me from the door and my eyes begin to see

That someone yells my name and shakes me awake
Now I can see the sunshine clouds and can breathe
I found out that being blind to everything makes everything go dark inside your mind....

I am alive and free from the captors harm and now I am safe right here in your arms...
