To be in love with Love is not easy to do-

Because Love is a lover who will cut you right through-

Love can be fickle, and cruel, and conniving-

And at the same time caress you so soft, with love thriving-

Love is a lover with ways all her own-

Whose fancies I cannot at all times condone-

At times she will try very hard to wreak harm-

And often succeeds well in causing alarm-

I know Love to be a lover who likes playing games-

With so many minds, people, places, and names-

To be in love with Love, is not easy, I know-

But wherever you travel, with us all Love will go.
