Butt-ugly Blues

By Malcholm Dark

With loneliness and anergy
Her online need spawns energy.

Oh yeah.

She sends him quotes from Tennyson
Playing the game with him is fun.

Trying not to be discreet
Hoping for a chance to meet...

As Hi-Tech lovers.

Then he saw her face...

She fell from atop the ugly tree
Hitting every branch on the way down
With her face.

With looks not even gorillas would choose
She's got a case of the butt-ugly blues.
.
.
.
He writes a message, presses send
He enjoys this game of pretend.

Trying not to be discreet
Hoping for a chance to meet...

As Hi-Tech lovers.

Then she saw his face...

He fell from the top of Mt. Ugly
Hitting every boulder on the way down
With his face.

When people still grimace over the news
He's got a case of the butt-ugly blues.
