This tree looks so imposing, yet I really can't look away. It makes me think of the Ents in LOTR, and black and white photography really does it beautiful justice. Well done, dear. Rebs:).

Looks like a stack of argueing diplomats.Someone should send a copy to every politician to drive their minds insane and break them apart.Let it rot in their subconscious. It's like some trickster borne totem pole mockery of mankind.

oh my! I immediately was stricken with chills.....the trunk appears to be swelling with a person, a soul trying to escape, trapped beneath the gnarled bark.....unsettling to say the least. what a photo!!!! phantastical! ~b

The best part of this shot is the faded little trunk with foliage off to the side; it's 'sanity' really creates a scale for the other tree's 'madness'. The contrast is the beauty of this shot, I think. Of course, as you are aware, I know very little about photography. =)

it's had enough.... time to put it out of its misery... like a corpse left to rot upright... a monument to decaying dignity.... just my interpretation, of course :)
