Goodbye Old Friend

By Malcholm Dark

Goodbye old friend
Trusted friend
My protector
Hearth and home.

Goodbye old friend
True friend
Side by side
Nine great years.

I sat on the floor
You in my lap
We said goodbye
You drifted on.

Thank-you old friend
For a slice of happiness.

I truly sympathize with your loss, I still think about my cat and my dog. Every time I feel something on my leg, I think it's them brushing up against me, and I'm disappointed each time I look down. Remember him fondly, and cherish the memories like gold. Scholar

Geeze man I'm so sorry for your loss, I don't even know what to say. I just lost my grandmother recently and she was the most important person in my life, I can't even tell you how bad seeing this makes me feel.
