Sinertia.

By TheProphetUntold

+--+

Blink.

Skyward eyes,
inverted black
with wist and woe.

Cinematic
mercurial
teardrops.

Running in
nameless rivers,
churning the
weathered mills
of dementia...

There.

Rusted
seized
turbines.

Spit their
dying sparks
illuminating
vast ancient
dreadscapes.

A post traumatic
insurgence of faith,
force fed faith
and bled out awe...

Burnt into
steel retinas
long gone....

Blind.

Cross lit eyes
inverted back
in flame and loathe.

Enigmatic
ethereal
entropy.

Erupts in
spineless shivers
scourging the
celestial sills
of s.inertia...

Forging
fatal
framework
of decay's
dissected
delusions.

Plaiting its
pestilent
poison
pulse,
with mine.

At last
ascending
aimlessly
into
oblivion....

It's hard to kneel on broken knees.

I like the concept of sinertia... but I wonder if the second half of the poem brings out the full suggestiveness of that neologism... as always, fierce in tone.... unforgiving in verse. *bows*

Sweet imagery. Nicely flowing piece. Well written!

  • A former member wrote: beautiful and apt title alone...and the closing profound line line wouldve been more than poetry for me. excellent as always. toujours~
