... Immured ...

By NikesRain

within the silence
where shadows
embraced midnight
breathing in breakings
she dared step beyond
bare and exposed
into moonlight
looking quietly
searching for a way
to whisper gently
but her voice
is sorrow
her melody
washed away
in hushed tears
so she's retreating
and disappearing
back into the shadows
embracing midnight
safe within the silence

There was almost sound. This was sad and silent, and there was almost sound.
