Why Clowns Hate Mimes

By Malcholm Dark

Clowns, they laugh and shout...

They toot their bugles
They honk their horns.

They wear giant shoes
They must have corns.

They make us happy
They make us glad.

Circus' and rodeos
With mom and dad.

And their makeup
Always so pied.

Most of all
.
.
.
They have
.
.
.
Tricycles
.
.
.
To ride.

Mimes, they won't speak out...

They attempt to laugh
They make no sound.

They attempt to cry
No tears fall down.

They make us wonder
They work for tips.

Streets and city parks
On ego-trips.

And their makeup
Always appalls.

Most of all
.
.
.
They touch
.
.
.
Invisible
.
.
.
Walls.

...and you wonder why clowns hate mimes.

Still pondering the animosity expressed here and I would have to guess that you might be a practicing clown maybe? But then, aren't we all? Thanks M!

Haha I'd take clowns over mimes any day, after all Pennywise wasn't a mime. It got really deep a few times, "They attempt to laugh. They make no sound." it's like mimes are robots, and laughing isn't in their programming. Another fine piece, write on my friend. Scholar

  • A former member wrote: awesome satire.... I could see the two entertainers becoming so much more, resonating on levels beyond the circus and park.... well done, man. Cheers! Scholar
