Sometimes the emotions come
about as subtly as a guillotine.

It's depressing how the mind works.
How even after 21 years of striving to
find happiness,
and thinking you've found it,
it still only takes one moment
of being alone with your thoughts
to  feel like
nothing is right.


It just takes one thought

and I remember how goddamn
much I miss you.
