Passion

By Gideon Lost

I have missed you
With a Passion
You can not understand
But I have come to know
You accept
Know that I am with you
Always
Keeping your Fire
From burning you
Never meddling
In your mettle
For my place is not with you
But to watch over
May your life ignite
Your darkness
and may your darkness
Be full of wonder.

This work struck me so hard. I read it over and over just to find something, anything, that didn't relate to my situation. I don't want to be the Guardian, or the Tower, I don't want to just watch over, but I guess we don't all get to pick who's life we enter and stay with. And this has just knocked my ass down to the bottom of the emotional totem pole. This was all too well penned.
