dreams like ash

everything was falling apart
wet feathers
white driftwood
stardust
in our veins
ignited when we touch
a memory that has yet to be made
bumble bee
you
were
a mouthful of diamonds
a tongue like black snakes
lighting me up
twisting my
hardened heart like
burnt
amber ash
take it away
the love i had imagined
all
this time
just a dream
I'm floating again
tasting your golden blood
lips tingling
I'm digging again
white knuckled
&
numb
.
haunting me
he's turned out to sea
cobwebs of clouds
and a coral melody
with a whisper
gilded romance
teach me those songs again
child
infinite and eternal
with eyes like
a kiss of blinding sun
on the horizon
you will find me
