Turned Away

By nightshade

The unconditionally loving one turns away,
The pain within can no longer be held at bay.
The loving caresses now come from a cold dark hand,
Forced now to walk this putrid, decaying land.
This world holds nothing more for me,
To be rid of this fetid flesh, finally free.
The only desire to be loved by family and friends,
Half the wish granted while the other abscinds.
My friends are few yet I know they care for me.
Yet here I stand chained by what my family wishes I be.
My spirit broken, shattered, left cold and alone
wanting to depart from this society of flesh and bone.
